Onion Creek
description: McKinney is in east Austin. There are about 60 - 70 routes, most of which are over v4. the limestone is very hard, and dark grey, quality.
directions: from downtown austin travel south on I-35 and exit ben white blvd. turn left, and take a right on burleson (McDonalds). take a right on McKinney Falls Rd., and follow signs to Mckinney Falls State Park State park, Once in the park take the first right and park at the dead end.
history: when the park found out people were climbing on their cliffs they quickly closed the area to all climbing, but a management plan was worked out between local climbers and park management. Please read it carefully.
